Overview

The Assistant to the Dean is responsible for providing a variety of confidential, administrative and operational duties associated with the functions of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (CSTEM). Administrative work in the position often involves highly confidential and sensitive personnel matters such as recruitment, retention, tenure, and promotion, and general personnel matters that requires access to various sources of information including confidential personnel files. The Dean's Assistant interacts at the highest level within and outside the University and frequently handles highly sensitive interpersonal and strictly confidential situations. The position is the lead for clerical and administrative support functions in the Dean's Office and coordinates multiple complex projects with broad impact across the university. The position coordinates communications within the College and from the College to the external community. This position administers several budgets including general funds, Foundation funds, and University Corporation funds.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,352 - $5,639 per month

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,924 - $5,066 per month
