JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Center for Justice & Reconciliation, and contributing to the development of the CJR’s strategic goals. This includes managing staff, analyzing and improving processes, procedures and workflows, and overseeing program implementation and management of Center operations and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and mentors staff of the CJR, including recruitment, training and supervision

  • Liaisons with Executive Director to set strategic goals, manage operational activities, develop financial plans and ensure compliance with grants and contracts

  • Plans and coordinates budget processes and operations plans

  • Defines, implements and revises operational processes to identify best practices and improve internal systems

  • Identifies funding and resource opportunities and manages processes to secure funding of contracts and grants

  • Manages and reports Key Performance Indicators of grants and contracts

  • Provides programmatic leadership and input

  • Represents the CJR in key external relationships

  • Responsible for grant writing, proposal preparation and reports

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing a team at a non-profit organization; minimum of five years experience

  • Proven track record of managing within a growing organization

  • Degree in business administration, management, social work or related field

  • Innovative mindset, self reliant and results oriented

  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities

  • Detail and process oriented

  • Project management skills

  • Strategic thinking with operational focus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Supportive, team-oriented, with excellent people skills

  • Experience in anti-trafficking work highly preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Ability to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone and maintain a professional image. Ability to stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs throughout the day.
