Under general direction of the Manager, Grants and Contracts Development, the Grant Writer works closely with staff, faculty, department chairs, deans, and administrators to write proposals for external sponsors. The Grant Writer initiates funding searches and matches opportunities with institutional strengths and needs. This position provides extensive knowledge in developing proposal concept/ideas and preparing applications for external sponsors. As a member of the Grants and Contracts Development team, the Grant Writer works in a collegial and supportive manner with others in the Office of Graduate Studies and Research as well colleagues within the divisions of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and University Advancement.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,900 - $3,333 per month at the part-time rate
CSU Classification Salary Range: $2,346.50 - $4,224.50 per month at the part-time rate
