•Manages all internal and external human resources related inquiries or requests.
•Maintains both hard and digital copies of employee’s records.
•Implements employee benefits program including health, life, FSA, and 401(k)
•Assists with the recruitment process for open positions.
•Assists with the on-boarding of new employees and volunteers.
•Manages the termination process.
•Manages employee appreciation activities.
•Assists with the bi-monthly payroll processing.
•Coordinates annual and/or biennial employee trainings.
•Coordinates annual performance reviews with managers.
•Keep up-to-date with latest Human Resources trends and best practices.
•Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements; preparing and updating human resource policies and procedures. Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
•Minimum two years of experience as a Human Resources Manager.
•Full understanding of Human Resource functions and best practices.
•Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, organization’s vendors and the public.
•Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
•Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications.
Additional Information Elder Law & Advocacy (EL&A) is a legal services and Medicare counseling organization that has been serving older adults since 1978. EL&A has offices in San Diego and Imperial Counties, and employs nine attorneys and another fourteen program and support staff.
Position is part-time; flexible hours.
