The Laboratory Technician will provide comprehensive support to the Physics faculty in equipping and running the undergraduate instructional physics laboratories and state-support faculty research laboratories, including researching and ordering scientific equipment and supplies, setting up instructional laboratory equipment, providing routine maintenance of equipment, designing and constructing laboratory apparatus, and assisting in management of laboratory safety procedures. This will include laboratory-based curriculum and faculty research activities. The laboratory-based curriculum includes General Education courses, introductory physics courses, laboratory-based electronics courses, upper division physics laboratory courses, and student research projects. The Laboratory Technician ooperates under the lead direction of the IST III and the Department Chair, and under direct supervision of the Associate Dean.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,565 - $6,187 per month
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,565 - $4,220 per month
