The Old Globe Theatre in Balboa Park seeks a Senior Accountant for a full-time, benefited position. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Director of Finance to manage the $30 million annual operating budget for this not-for-profit organization.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts, bank accounts and investment accounts; producing monthly and annual financial statements; maintaining fixed asset detail; assisting with preparation and monitoring of annual budget; extensive responsibilities for annual audit and tax filings. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and access and anti-racism work in the theatre. Finance Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.
Ideal candidates will be extremely organized and detail-oriented and have previous accounting experience, preferably at a not-for-profit organization. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience in Financial Edge or equivalent accounting software. Bachelor’s 4-year degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and accounting experience required. Competitive salary and benefit package.
