Community HousingWorks is looking for a System Network Administrator to monitor, troubleshoot, implement, and support technical systems and operations. Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems and network issues as part of the overall effort to provide the highest quality service in support of the organization’s operations. Oversee and support the day-to-day operation of computer systems and networks throughout an organization, ensuring reliable performance and data integrity in local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), organization intranets, and VPN solutions.
This role will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining CHW’s technologies and IT stack. As a member of the IT Team, the System Network Administrator will be an expert in both hardware and software, ability to use programming and scripting to execute tasks and actions across multiple applications and infrastructure. In conjunction with IT Manager, this role will support CHW HQ as well as all our property’s technologies. At a very general level, this role will ensure organization through documentation and maintaining policies, procedures, and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide first and second tier support for desktop, server, storage and network systems with the use of ZOHO ticketing systems and Connectwise ScreenConnect/Automate.
Participate in the design, planning and implementation of systems and network projects.
Actively monitor the health of core systems, i.e. servers, third party applications, and email/internet security appliances using tools like Connectwise, Cisco Umbrella, Office365, etc.
Provide review and oversight of critical procedures such as account creation, backup jobs, task automation to ensure effectiveness and security are being met.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving of further leveraging these systems.
Assist in the planning, design, and development of new technology and procedures to enhance existing infrastructure.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, services, applications security, and controls.
Assist with maintenance and operations of disaster recovery.
Proactively research to find solutions before escalating to next level.
Monitor and support Unifi Networks at HQ and Properties through cloud portal and/or site visit.
Support minor Amazon Web Services and Azure products.
Competencies and Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and experience with Windows, Windows Server, and Hypervisor technologies and methodologies (Hyper-V, VPS, etc)
Strong experience administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies and other core protocols.
Advanced knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
Strong grasp of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
Ability to teach and communicate effectively regarding systems and data needs with diverse users with a wide range of computer and analytical skills.
Professional, quick to respond and solutions-based customer service approach.
Net+, Sec+, MCSE, Azure, AWS certifications not required but a plus.
Exposure/Experience with next-gen network appliances such as Unifi, Fortinet, and Cisco Meraki
Education and Experience:
Two to five years’ experience in a Network/Systems Administration role
Certification or completion of specialized training in computer networks
Bachelor’s or Associate degree is a plus but not required

Evidence of ability to work legally in the United States.
Valid driver's license and regular availability of an insured vehicle to travel.
The nature of the works is such that onsite, daily attendance is required during normal business hours, Monday-Fridays with the occasional weekends as requested for special events.
