Assist Volunteer Services Manager to recruit, onboard, train and manage volunteers for selected services, support roles, and for JIT events to ensure volunteer effectiveness. Match volunteers to appropriate roles in a timely manner to ensure a positive experience. Oversee, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities and participation in collaboration with Youth Services Team. Assist Service Enterprise & Partnerships Manager in collaboration with Development to engage Civic/Faith Groups in community events and volunteer opportunities. Learn and create strategies to incorporate JIT “Coach Approach to Mentoring” as a volunteer tool to problem-solve and advise volunteers on successful participation. Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports on volunteer activity, participation, and communication using Salesforce (CRM) database entry. Collaborate on projects and events in JIT main office located in Mission Valley as needed.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of prior work experience in related field, Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams). Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce CRM or similar database management platform. Basic knowledge using virtual community platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Hangout, etc.). Lived experience or prior experience working with foster youth or similar population.
